Meet Julia, the visionary founder of our academy, whose passion for art has shaped her remarkable journey. Graduating from Academy of Architecture and Fine Arts from the Design and Fine Arts faculty with a master degree in monumental and decorative art, Julia has dedicated her life to the world of art.
Julia’s career began as a CG artist in the video game industry, where she quickly rose to become an art lead and art director for renowned games like World of Tanks and World of Warships. Over 15 years, she released more than 10 projects and mentored over 250 artists, shaping the future of digital art.
Inspired by her childhood experiences in an art school in Siberia, Julia envisioned creating a space where others could discover and nurture their artistic talents. This dream led her to establish Algarve Arts Academy, a place where both children and adults can explore their creativity.
In addition to her extensive art background, Julia is also educated as an art therapist and currently practices art therapy. Her expertise lies in anatomy, figure drawing, and portraits, and she brings this passion to every class she teaches. She adores working with kids, running engaging events, and providing comprehensive courses for adults. Julia truly believes that being an artist is a precious gift that should be accessible to everyone.
